New Rail service from China

Unloading of the first train from Urümqui in Chelyabinsk

Last week the first train from Ürümqi was unloaded in Chelyabinsk. It was the first train of a new line connecting China with Russia. The new line is boosted by the Russian and Chinese governments and is supposed to intensify the trade relations between the two countries. It offers attractive transit times for very good prices. With a transit time of just 10 days to Chelyabinsk it is mainly the region that profits from the new service but Moscow can also be reached in just 12 days.

Even for customers in the EU the new line is an interesting option - 20 days transit for very low prices compared to existing rail options.
